Main Mahd is now accepting students for his
guitar-building course, in which you will be able to enjoy the journey and the
result of playing a guitar that you made yourself.
The program he offers includes:
- the Luthiers art of guitar construction
- you build your own guitar from start to finish
- step by step, one on one instruction
- tab tuning the top, bending sides, bracing, jointing tops and backs, fretwork,
molding and sanding, fingerboard cutting, radiusing and fretting, finishing and
spraying
He welcomes student involvement in design preferences, such as: patterns,
materials, inlay, and neck width. Left-handed players are also accommodated.
Taking raw timber, choosing the right materials, molding them to shape and
ultimately an instrument is a constant source of satisfaction. No two
instruments are exactly the same and Main enjoys helping people express the gift
of music.
